Aimen Bin Ahmed Al Hosni is the Chief Executive Officer of Oman Airports, with the responsibility for managing and developing four civil airports across the Sultanate; Muscat, Salalah, Duqm and Sohar Airport. His vision is to make Muscat Airport among the top 20 airports of the world by 2020, and in doing so contribute to the national wide vision of establishing a safe, modern and customer centric aviation sector.
Before being named CEO, Aimen started his journey in Oman Airports as a General Manager of Muscat International Airport in 2012. During this period, the airport witnessed unforeseen growth in passengers’ number, and won various awards in customer service in the Middle East. In May 2015, Aimen became the CEO of Oman Airports, overseeing the successful opening of Salalah Airport in 2015, followed by the opening of Muscat Airport in March 2018.
Mr. Al Hosni’s focus is to transform Oman Airports to become a competitive airport operator while improving, strengthening and further developing its global market position. He aims to pro-actively anticipate changes in the operating environment, in the national aviation sector and across the globe, while continually pursuing great customer experience for visitors to Oman Airports.
Together with that, Aimen has led the team to significant successes and many achievements and accolades, for example: winning the World Travel Awards for Middle East’s Leading New Tourism Development Project in 2018, besides achieving Omanization rate of over 93% in the company.
Prior to joining Oman Airports and along with his current role at Oman Airports, Aimen holds various executive roles in multi-national organizations, such as being a board member of ACI world and ACI Asia-Pacific, Oman National Investment and Engineering Company, Muscat Insurance Company, Oman Telecommunication and HSBC Oman.
